A very quick update from us here in Houston......and then its back to unpacking :-)
So, after 2 months of being in a small apartment we have finally got a house to move into! I have actually known for a week, but didn't dare write anything on here, just in case it all fell through again! Sods law and everything.......
The removal men came yesterday and delivered all our belongings, I wish I had taken a camera to catch the delight on Martha's face when she saw her toys, it was lovely to see her smile. She spent ages scooting around the wooden floors on her wheely bug, having an absolute ball. We haven't properly moved in yet though as the girls mattresses didn't arrive for some reason, but they have been located today so I'm just waiting for a call to confirm a time to deliver them. I've never been so pleased to see my sofas, kitchen table and bed! I also found a pair of trousers that fitted when I was at my slimest and was rather pleased to discover they actually fit....not perfectly but not far off, so there is something to be said for a hot climate and high stress levels...the ultimate diet!
The new house is really big and airy, although a little outdated and worn, but I'm sure once all our stuff is unpacked and the everyday clutter is everywhere, and the girls art work adorns the fridge it'll feel more homely.

As many of you will know we always seem to end up with a house with a least one room painted in some dodgy colour...usually orange....and yes, yet again we a dodgy room...this time its a rusty red colour in the girls bedroom. Hopefully the landlord will allow us to paint it a lovely neutral cream colour fairly soon so that the girls can have a bedroom that looks as pretty as their one at home.
My brothers arrived on Friday night on their way back through through South America. The girls are very excited to have their uncles here to amuse them. I am equally pleased to have two extra pairs of hands! This afternoon Fearne has had great fun playing with them in the pool, lining the slide up to the edge and then splashing into the water. She has grown so much in confidence in the water in the last few weeks, trying to do rolly pollys, jumping in and trying to make big splashes and this afernoon jumping off the side through hoops in the air. She has swimming lessons starting next week and considering when I first booked them at the end of April she definitely couldn't swim without her life vest and now she can pretty much swim across the pool on her own that's a huge improvement just through lots of playing.
I also spent some time today getting Fearne kitted out in ballet and tap clothes. I've spent about 2 years trying to avoid enrolling Fearne in dance lessons...for no particular reason other than I'd really like her to do gymnastics at some point! Anyway, as much as I may not be overly keen on ballet and tap she does look incredibly cute in her clothes.....she just better not do what she usually does in new situations and cling to me like a limpit and refuse to go and join in. Oh well fingers crossed for Thursday afternoon, I hope she really enjoys it. Martha is now keen to do tap too, after borrowing Fearne's shoes before bed time and clippity clipping all over the kitchen floor!
The pictures below are from the last 2 weeks....

I'll be back with updated pictures once we have eventually managed to unpack properly!
